Register for A Season of Becoming: A 4-Week Yoga Series for Midlife Wellness & Life's Transitions

September 14, 21, 28, and October 5 — 6:45 - 8:00pm

There are seasons in life when our bodies, priorities, relationships, and sense of self begin to change. A Season of Becoming is a four-week yoga journey created to help us meet those changes with curiosity, strength, compassion, and grace.

Through mindful Hatha yoga, breathwork, restorative practices, reflection, and meaningful conversation, we’ll explore ways to support the body and nervous system through the transitions of midlife, including the changes that often accompany perimenopause and menopause. We’ll explore strength, balance, rest, stress, sleep, body awareness, and the beautiful process of becoming who we are in this next season.

Each week offers a new theme, a thoughtfully designed yoga practice, and a Becoming Invitation to carry with you beyond the mat.

No experience with yoga is necessary, and everyone is welcome. While some of our conversations will center around women’s midlife experiences, this series is open to anyone who feels called to explore the practice of meeting change with greater awareness and compassion. Come for yourself, or come alongside someone you love.

$80 for the 4-week series or $25 to drop in weekly

Week 1 | Root

Finding Ground in Change
We begin by acknowledging that change is inevitable, but we don’t have to navigate it without support.
Yoga focus: grounding, hips, legs
Breath: extended exhale
Becoming Invitation:
What changes have I been resisting, and what might happen if I approached them with curiosity instead?

Week 2 | Balance

Working With the Heat
This is where we explore hot flashes, stress, overstimulation, and the relationship between the nervous system and our experience of heat.
Yoga focus: cooling, lateral movement, gentle twists, restorative poses
Breath: cooling breath
  Becoming Invitation:
What helps me feel calm, cool, and cared for?

Week 3 | Strength

Becoming Stronger, Not Smaller
Midlife doesn’t have to mean shrinking ourselves, physically or metaphorically. We can talk about maintaining muscle, bone health, balance, confidence, and resilience.
Yoga focus: standing poses, balance, weight-bearing, core
Breath: strong, steady breath
Becoming Invitation:
Where in my life am I already stronger than I realize?

Gently remind students that yoga is part of the picture, not the whole picture. Walking, lifting weights, dancing, eating enough protein, and getting adequate rest all matter too.

Week 4 | Become

Honoring the Woman, Man, or Person You’re Becoming
Yoga focus:heart opening, balance, grounding, longer restorative ending
Breath: natural breath with awareness
Becoming Invitation:
As I step into this next season, what am I ready to carry forward, and what am I ready to release?
