Register for Somatic Yoga Teacher Training

June 20 & 21 — 1:00 - 6:00pm

Learn to open new pathways of perception and healing through somatic awareness and movement. In this immersive weekend training, we will explore the foundational principles of neuromuscular re-education as taught in Hanna Somatic Education, and how they relate to common patterns of chronic pain and postural imbalance.

Together, we will examine three primary habitual postural patterns that often underlie persistent tension and discomfort. Through specific techniques that gently engage the motor cortex, you will experience how slow, intentional, and articulated somatic movements can release deeply held “secret tension,” restore functional movement, and cultivate a profound sense of ease and freedom in the body.

You will:

  • Explore the foundational principles of somatic education
  • Learn a series of essential somatic movements
  • Practice teaching these movements with clarity and confidence
  • Discover how to skillfully weave somatic practices into a yoga class

By the end of the weekend, you will feel equipped to integrate this nourishing, therapeutic approach into your teaching and offer your students a deeper experience of embodiment and self-healing.

This training is offered as part of our 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training and is also available as a stand-alone weekend intensive open to all yoga instructors. Ten continuing education units (CEUs) are offered through Yoga Alliance.

$350 for the 10 hour workshop; early bird pricing of $325 by May 15th
