Bathe in Sound, Lay in Light: A Tibetan Singing Bowl Sound Experience
with Melinda Cohan
November 27 — 6:00 - 7:00 pm
What if you didn’t have to completely quiet your mind?
What if, for one hour, you didn’t have to do anything at all?
You simply get to lie down and receive.
Bathe in Sound, Lay in Light is an immersive Tibetan singing bowl experience designed to engage more than your ears. Surrounded by the warm glow of candlelight, you’ll rest as layers of sound and vibration move throughout the room; creating an atmosphere that invites the body to slow down, soften, and settle.
And on the Friday evening after Thanksgiving, that invitation may be especially welcome.
After the cooking, gathering, traveling, celebrating, shopping, or simply the fullness of the holiday, this is an hour to ask nothing of yourself.
Come as you are. Bring family and friends if it feels right.
Get comfortable. Close your eyes if you’d like. And receive.
No previous experience with meditation, yoga, or sound healing is necessary.
What to Expect
During this 60-minute experience, Melinda will guide you into a comfortable resting position in a room illuminated by the soft glow of candlelight, then surround you with the sounds and vibrations of Tibetan singing bowls.
In addition to playing the bowls throughout the space, Melinda will offer each participant the option to experience a singing bowl placed and gently played directly on the body—allowing you to not only hear the sound, but physically feel its vibration.
The majority of the experience is spent resting and receiving, followed by a gentle return and a few moments for integration.
Wear comfortable clothing. Mats and props are provided and may be used to create whatever position allows your body to rest most comfortably.
About Melinda

Melinda Cohan is a certified Sound Healing Practitioner who works primarily with traditional Tibetan singing bowls. After playing the bowls intuitively for several years, she completed formal study in 2026 and discovered that sound offered another expression of work she has been devoted to for decades: helping people live and perform at a high level without sacrificing themselves in the process.
Her approach is grounded in a simple belief: I don’t heal people; I create conditions that support rejuvenation, harmony and healing.
Through sound, vibration, stillness, and intention, Melinda creates spaces where there is nothing to achieve, figure out, or fix.
You simply get to receive.
