Becca Gill
RYT-200
Becca has been practicing yoga for almost two decades, exploring many styles and studios, both near and far. New to Roanoke, Becca, like many of us, found continued peace, community, and solace in yoga during the pandemic and was inspired to complete a 200 hour yoga teacher training.
As a young adult, yoga was first an outlet for Becca to recover from overuse injuries from playing soccer her whole life. But over a long practice and process, yoga has become a great personal tool, among others, for her holistic growth and healing. She finds meaning and joy in sharing that journey with others so that they too can find a path towards peace. With a Recreation Management degree and Physical Education teaching certification, Becca has been coach, mentor, and teacher for many years. Becca also credits her love of nature, family and births, random jobs and life experiences, world travel, outdoor excursions, faith, and community to how she connects to yoga and humanity. She enjoys working with a variety of students seeking yoga for a welcomed change and as a trial for learning something new that works for them – with the potential to change their heart, body, and mind from within. You can find Becca raising her two young girls, teaching yoga to kids and athletes, and enjoying mountain biking and exploring Roanoke. She is grateful for the connections and organizations she has found here in the Valley.
You can find Becca teaching on behalf of Uttara at River Rock Climbing Gym on Mondays at 6:30 pm.
